Pat Hawkins Sweeden

Pat Hawkins Sweeden, Bentonville, AR

I am a native Arkansan, relocating from Little Rock to NWA after retiring from a professional career in Training and Education.

My art is a way to continue my own development, share my passion and communicate my spirit.  I am truly blessed to have the opportunity to devote my energy and efforts to constantly learn by painting and creating things I love.

With no formal art training, I have taken some classes along the way and learned basic techniques through subject matter books. I was awarded eleven ribbons for my work during the four years she entered the annual art show in Holiday Island. My art was selected for the juried 2019 National Exhibition Celebration of Art and also selected to display at the Joy Pratt Markham Gallery for the 2023 -Our Art Our Region Our Time at the Walton Arts Center.  My art has been on display at FNB (First National Bank, Downtown Bentonville) and the Fenix Gallery in Fayetteville. MY art was curated into the SWA 2025 Small Works National Competition.

I am a member of Artists of Northwest Arkansas (ANA) and I am part of 14 artists that make up the ANA Gallery Group. The ANA Gallery is located in downtown Rogers. I am also a member of the Artisan Alliance of Wishing Spring in Bella Vista, AR, with my work being displayed at Wishing Spring Gallery and ThirdArt Gallery in Grove, Oklahoma.
